This year Positive Schools is hosting a unique two-day workshop-style event. The Big Workshop is designed to help you create positive cultures in your classrooms, schools and communities through actionable strategies that support wellbeing for staff and students. You’ll have opportunities to interact with the content and reflect on its application in your own context and walk away with practical strategies you can implement.

Day 1 of the BIG WORKSHOP will focus on:

  • Better understanding and embracing a Contextual Wellbeing framework for real-world wellbeing development in your classrooms, staffrooms and in your whole school
  • Unpacking your core values, to establish what matters to you as an educator
  • Learning how to effectively undertake a meaningful wellbeing audit of your classroom, staffroom or whole school community
  • On Day 2 of the BIG WORKSHOP, you will learn how to:

  • Build knowledge and skills to manage resistance to change
  • Identify and include students who are neurodivergent or experience anxiety and trauma
  • Better understand and know how to build your staff and students capacity for resilience and change
  • There will be sessions led by Dr Helen Street, internationally acclaimed author and education consultant. Justin Roberts, ReLATE National Program Director and inclusive education expert will run a keynote on how to successfully engage young people who are struggling to engage with learning.
