I have gained a lot from the whole program. As house Supervisor, I utilise available resources within my own team at the house I am currently at, and brave conversations are no longer brave anymore.

Description

Each of our Power to Kids Community of Practice sessions cover one of the 10 Power to Kids topics in more depth. These sessions provide an opportunity to discuss what is working well for individuals and their teams, and also presents an opportunity to ask for advice from the facilitators and fellow participants to support ongoing implementation. Our Community of Practice sessions are free for those who have completed Power to Kids Workforce Training.

Rights and responsibilities
Cultural practice
Gender and diversity
Sexual health and contraception
Sexual behaviour
Respectful relationships and love
Consent and age
Grooming and abuse
Disclosure and informed friends
Online safety and pornography

Outcome

Our Community of Practice sessions provide:
  • A deeper understanding of the 10 Power to Kids topics
  • Support and advice for successful implementation of the program in your team and organisation
  • An opportunity to learn from what is and isn’t working in other organisations

Additional Information

  • To participate in online sessions you will need a computer with Zoom (with camera and microphone) and reliable internet access.

  •  

  • Sessions are delivered in AEST or AEDT.  If attending from interstate or overseas, please be aware of the time difference.
