These self-paced online learning modules are designed to deepen knowledge and understanding of the Child Safe Standards for school leaders and staff in Victoria. This professional learning supports schools to ensure their policies, procedures and practices are compliant with Ministerial Order 1359, and that child safety is prioritised across all aspects of school life.
Each module covers the 11 Child Safe Standards ensuring depth of knowledge of each standard. The modules are crafted to allow participants to engage at their own pace, with progress saved automatically. This flexibility enables completion in one sitting or across multiple sessions, supporting busy professionals in their learning journey.
Each module contains quiz questions to test knowledge and understanding and provide immediate feedback on progress.
On completion of the modules all participants automatically receive a certificate acknowledging the date of completion and content covered.
Learning Outcomes
By completing these modules, participants will be supported to:
- Deepen their understanding of the Child Safe Standards and their importance in promoting child safety and wellbeing.
- Identify risks to children and apply safeguards to mitigate these risks effectively.
- Promote participation and empowerment of children in school decision-making processes.
- Implement appropriate responses to manage and report allegations in line with legal and organisational requirements.
- Understand and enhance child-safe policies within their school context.
